Importing Comics
ComicVerse does not include any preloaded content. You need to add your own comics to start reading, or explore the Create section to make your own using the Canvas workspace.
Welcome to ComicVerse! This guide will help you import your first comics and start reading. Whether you have comics stored locally, on cloud services, or want to discover new content through OPDS servers, ComicVerse has you covered.
Import Methods
- Import from Files: Add local comics from device or iCloud Drive
- OPDS Browser: Discover and download from online comic servers (recommended for large collections)
- Cloud Storage: Access comics from Dropbox (Google Drive, OneDrive, MEGA coming soon)
Quick Start
Import from Files
Library tab → + button → "Import from Files" → Select comic files → Tap Open
Supports CBZ, CBR, CB7, CBT, PDF, EPUB. See Supported Formats for details.
OPDS Browser
Library tab → + button → "Web Server" → Add or select OPDS server → Browse catalog → Stream or Download
Popular servers: Komga, Kavita. Enter server URL and credentials (if needed). Recommended for large collections.
Cloud Storage
Library tab → + button → "Web Server" → Select Dropbox → Authenticate → Browse and import
Google Drive, OneDrive, and MEGA coming soon.
Storage Options
Local Storage (Default): Stored in app directory, visible in Files app, no iCloud usage, single device only iCloud Drive: Syncs across devices, requires iCloud space, automatic backup
Change anytime in Profile → Settings → Library Location.
After Importing
Comics appear in Library with cover art and metadata. Tap to read. Progress tracks automatically.
