What is ComicVerse Beta?

ComicVerse Beta gives you early access to our AI-powered comic creation platform. You'll be among the first to test new features, create amazing storyboards or comics, and help shape the future of storytelling with AI.

What's included in beta access?

Beta users get full access to our AI comic generation tools, including story writing, character creation, panel layout, and illustration generation. You'll also get priority support and the ability to provide feedback directly to our team.

When will ComicVerse fully launch?

We're planning a full public launch in Q1 2026. Beta testers will be the first to know about the official launch date and will receive special perks for being early supporters.

Will beta access cost anything?

Beta access is completely free! We're offering early access at no cost so you can help us test and improve the platform. Pricing details for the full launch will be announced closer to the release date.

Privacy & Security

Is my data safe during beta?

Yes! We take data security seriously. All user data is encrypted and stored securely. Your comics and personal information are protected by industry-standard security measures. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

Where is my data stored?

  • Local Storage: Comics stored in app directory on your device only
  • iCloud Drive: Comics sync across your Apple devices via iCloud
  • AI Processing: Prompts and generated images processed by Google AI (cloud-based)

Your reading progress, favorites, and project metadata sync via iCloud when enabled.

Can I use ComicVerse offline?

  • Reading: Yes, imported comics work offline
  • Creating: Canvas tools work offline, but AI generation requires internet connection
  • Syncing: Requires internet to sync across devices

What file formats does ComicVerse support?

Comic formats: CBZ, CBR, CB7, CBT, PDF, EPUB (image-based only) Image formats within archives: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP

Can I create multi-page comics?

Currently, projects are limited to single pages. Multi-page support is in development and will include page navigation, reordering, and exporting complete comic books.

What AI models does ComicVerse use?

Currently using Gemini 2.5 Flash Image Preview (Nano Banana) from Google AI. We're working to add multiple model providers, open source options, and local models for privacy-conscious creators.

Can I import my own comic library?

Yes! Import from:

  • Local files on your device or iCloud Drive
  • OPDS servers (recommended for large collections)
  • Cloud storage (Dropbox currently, more coming soon)

Does ComicVerse support OPDS servers?

Yes! Connect to OPDS servers like Komga and Kavita to stream or download comics. This is the recommended method for managing large collections.

Can I export my creations?

Yes! Export canvas projects as high-resolution PNG or JPEG files. Use iOS native sharing to send to social media, messaging apps, or other services.

How often does ComicVerse update?

New beta builds typically release every 1-2 weeks with features, improvements, and bug fixes. TestFlight notifies you when updates are available.

Will my beta data transfer to the full release?

Yes! All your comics, reading progress, creations, and settings will be preserved when ComicVerse launches on the App Store. No data migration needed.

What devices are supported?

  • iPhone: iOS 15.0 or later
  • iPad: iPadOS 15.0 or later
  • Apple Pencil: Supported on compatible iPads

How much storage does ComicVerse need?

  • App size: 50-100 MB
  • Storage needs: Depends on your library size
  • Large libraries: Use iCloud Drive or OPDS streaming to save device storage

Why is my battery draining quickly?

AI generation and Apple Pencil drawing use more power. To reduce battery usage:

  • Close app when not in use
  • Use OPDS streaming instead of local library
  • Reduce screen brightness while reading
  • Disable background app refresh

Does ComicVerse work on Mac?

Not currently. ComicVerse is designed specifically for iPhone and iPad. Mac support may be considered for future releases.
