General
What is ComicVerse AI?
An iPhone and iPad app for reading, managing, and creating digital comics. It's a full-featured comic reader with OPDS server support, plus an AI-powered studio that generates comic pages from your descriptions.
How much does it cost?
The app is free, and reading is entirely free with no subscription and no ads. AI comic generation uses credits. New accounts get a welcome grant, and credit packs are available in the app.
What devices are supported?
iPhone (iOS 17.6+), iPad (iPadOS 17.6+). Apple Pencil is supported on compatible iPads.
Do I need an account?
No. Importing, reading, and drawing all work without one. Sign in with Apple is needed for two things, AI generation and syncing your reading progress and favorites across devices. You can sign in anytime from the Profile tab.
Reading
What file formats are supported?
CBZ, CBR, CB7, CBT, PDF, and image-based EPUB. See Supported File Formats.
Does ComicVerse support OPDS servers?
Yes. Connect to Komga, Kavita, or any OPDS server to browse, stream, or download comics. It's the recommended setup for large collections. See Importing Comics.
Can I read offline?
Yes. Imported and downloaded comics are stored locally and read fully offline. Streaming from a server and AI generation need a connection.
Where are my comics stored?
Locally on your device, visible in the Files app under On My iPhone/iPad → ComicVerse. Comic files are never uploaded.
What syncs across my devices?
Reading progress and favorites, when you're signed in. Comic files themselves don't sync, so import or download them on each device.
Creating
Can I create multi-page comics?
Yes. Projects support multiple pages. Generate up to 5 pages in one go, add pages manually, retry an individual page if it fails, and export or publish the whole comic as a CBZ.
Which AI model does ComicVerse use?
Several. The model picker in the Refine sheet lists the current models with their per-page credit costs, and the lineup improves over time. See AI Generation & Credits.
What happens if a generation fails?
Your credits for the failed page are refunded automatically, and you can retry with one tap.
Do credits expire?
No. Credits never expire.
Can I export my creations?
Yes. Single pages export as high-resolution images and multi-page projects as CBZ, via the iOS share sheet. You can also use Publish to Library to read your comic right in the app. An export watermark can be toggled off in Profile.
Privacy and Account
Where does my data live?
Comic files stay on your device only. Reading progress, favorites, and project metadata sync to your account when signed in. For AI generation, prompts and generated pages are processed by our cloud service. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Profile → Delete Account permanently deletes your account and its data. Locally stored comics stay on your device.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Email [email protected]. We typically respond within 24 hours on weekdays. App Store reviews with feedback are also read.
